Three and four-year olds approach the world with great curiosity! Preschoolers have the language skills to express their intent to move, play imaginatively, and to explore independently. CWDkids understands what children and their families love, and offer a wide variety of toys and games for kids at every stage of play!
Preschool aged kids are busy: skilled at walking, climbing, jumping, hopping, skipping, marching, and galloping—and will do so throughout the day. Preschoolers love to sing and dance! Physical energy propels them at the playground, and fuels their language and games. Preschoolers distinguish fantasy from reality, but indoors or out, they have the dexterity and ingenuity to invent highly imaginative fantasy scenarios that include building structures like forts, and creating complex characters.
Developmentally, language and reading skills are beginning to take shape; preschoolers understand that letters represent spoken sounds and also form words. They are able to count to 10, identify shapes like triangles and squares, and recite the days of the week. Logic is advanced and children this age will want to know why, when, where, how, and to whom action happens. Preschoolers make for a captive audience for story time!
Pretend play will be reenactments of life, including cooking, building, shopping, and even parenting and teaching in games based on playing ‘house’ or ‘school.’ CWDkids help parents to nurture their children by providing toys and props for imaginative, open-ended play and inventive role-play. We offer cozy hideaways, pretend kitchens, puppets, tools for building castles and forts, and costumes that bring preschoolers’ fantasy story lines into reality.
